How I started off
Tomorrow is the first day of my internship. I know two other girls who are going to be in my team. I google them. Check out their linkedin profile. Both of them are undergrads - one in CS, other in telecom. Both of them seem very comfortable and passionate about programming. I am a grad student in EECN. I somehow escaped coding throughout my career so far. But today, in 2017, I realize that I have no way out. I have to learn coding. I know its importance but it looks tedious to me. I feel like I have so much to catch up with. I don't like being average. It is going to take so much time to be on par with people of my age or younger who are already into programming.
Solution:
1.Develop a passion for coding
How?
Passion comes from the good feeling when we do well in something
So
Start with something small. Do it well. Feel good. Then move on to something slightly bigger.
(but Oh my God. There is so much to do!)
Nope. You have only one task to do. That is, do the small challenge that you chose which will leave you feeling good about yourself.
You only have to take one step at a time. You have only one task to do.
2.Programmer must be patient
DO not panic when you can't do something. Take a deep breath, take a break and get back to it.
Programmer must be patient and persevere. You are only one step away from the next step.
